Bunkey Morgan served as a Chatham County Commissioner from December 2002 until December 2006.

 He is 66 years old, married to Judy, has three married sons and eight grandchildren.

Bunkey served or continues to serve in a number of other areas, including:

• Member of Olive Chapel Baptist Church

• Former Chatham County Planning Board member

• Former President and board member, International Carwash Association

• Former President and founding board member, Durham Crimestoppers

• Durham’s Chamber Business Person of the year

• Winner of Cary’s Mayor Excellence Award

• National Chair for March of Dimes Special Event

• Mentor to other business owners

• Multi-Million fundraiser for non-profit organizations
